The honeymoon is meant to be a special time for you and your new spouse so make the most of it. And don't put it off if you can help it. You are going to need some time to relax after your wedding!   • When choosing a destination, think of places that you have dreamed of going to.
  • Set a budget for your honeymoon and stick to it.
  • When planning your budget, don't forget about expenses such as tips, taxi fares, taxes, souvenirs, etc.
  • Choose a destination that both you and your new spouse will enjoy.
  • Call ahead to the hotel and make sure they know that you will be honeymooning and request that they put a bottle of champagne in your room for your arrival.
  • When packing make a list of everything you might need and don't forget to pack candles and romantic oils. Check off each item as you pack it away.
  • Get traveler's checks for security and only carry a limited amount of cash.
  • Take national credit cards with you if possible.

  • Label your luggage with your names, address and phone number on both the inside and the outside.

  • Fly first class if possible and order champagne. - even if you fly in coach you can order a small bottle of champagne.
  • Stay together during your trip and enjoy doing new things together.
  • Be romantic, hold hands, kiss in public, etc.
  • Always wear sunscreen - have fun - rub it on each other. Nothing is worse than having a sunburn on your honeymoon.
  • If any of your plans get botched - laugh about it instead of blaming one another.
  • Solve the problem together.
  • Take lots of pictures and bring home a nice souvenir.
